When a beautiful object that does its job well it cannot get much better than this. A manual coffee grinder designed to have the same precision of professional electric coffee grinders, thanks to top quality materials and excellent engineering.

The conical grinders, adaptable through to adjustment wheel (see the video tutorial below) guarantee maximum consistency in the size of the ground coffee fragments, a very important element for a good coffee yet often overlooked. Grinding the coffee with a blade grinder means heating the coffee too much during the process but, worst of all, it means obtaining fragments of very different sizes - or a very fine powder, too fine even for an espresso machine. Result in the cup: bitter and burnt coffee guaranteed.

The basics of this ingenious coffee grinder are simple:

  1. Making hand-grinding easy and not at all tiring: grinding vertically, instead of horizontally - as with most traditional mechanical grinders - takes advantage of gravity; turning an arm (lever) which is very long, thus distant from the gear, makes everything easier and less tiring.
  2. Obtain a ground coffee as uniform and homogeneous as possible, without too many "coffee fines". In a blade grinder, the beans fly randomly and randomly meet the blades: some will be cut more, others less. Result: an uneven grind full of fines, coffee particles that went too far with the grinding process, carriers of bitterness and killers of aromas. The conical vertical grinders crush - instead of cutting - the coffee beans between the revolving inner cone and the fixed outer cone, turning them into increasingly smaller parts, until they are able to pass through the adjustable space between the two cones. Result: the fragments pass through the "hole" as soon as they reach the size allowed by the empty space between the cones, with no more chance of being downsizes again until the grinding process is over. They just need to patiently wait for the other fragmented companions to join them.

A professional grade grinder, beautiful and easy to use.

No labour, no electricity, no inaccuracies.
